Book keeper/Administrator - temp position (may become permanent)

We are looking for a Full Time Book keeper/Administrator to cover maternity leave, however this role may become permanent.
The position covers running all aspects of the finance function. You will be responsible for the daily input of accounts to trial balance, process monthly wages and complete the quarterly VAT returns. You will be expected to produce management accounts, maintain and forecast the company cash flow. Reconciliation of accounts including bank and petty cash. General admin duties.
You will need to be self-motivated and take ownership of the role and the various aspects associated with it, including setting up processes and procedures to facilitate accurate and useful information to help the business make the right decisions. You should possess strong business acumen to be able and willing to challenge the existing management team when necessary.
Being part of a small business the role will be varied and you must be willing to work as part of a team to ensure the business needs are met.
Experience of Xero is desired and you must be comfortable with excel and other computer packages.
There is a degree of flexibility in the working pattern.
